Mesophotonics Ltd was established in July 2001 to develop and commercialize planar photonic crystal technology. The company is a spin-out from the University of Southampton where a multi-disciplinary team have been conducting research in the area of photonic crystals and photonics band gaps since 1994. Mesophotonics Ltd offers a competitive compensation package.
In 2005 Mesophotonics introduced the Klarite series of products. Klarite SERS substrates allow the unique Raman fingerprint present in all molecules to be easily and repeatedly identified. Klarite substrates enable faster, higher accuracy detection of biological and chemical samples at lower detection limits for a wide range of markets including homeland security, forensics, environmental monitoring, medical diagnostics and drug discovery.
